Valentines Shabby Chic Felt Cakes Food Art

Thought I would head for something slightly different today as a gift idea for Valentines.

These shabby chic cakes are made from felt by the original felt cake maker on ebay - apparently! You heard it here first.

Check out these strawberry shabby felt cakes

and just in case they are sold before you get there the seller's homepage lies here.

Getting myself around etsy this morning on the hunt for Alice Magazine's next Seller Of The Month I came across this pretty round tin from 5DollarFrenchMarket.

Inspirational Shabby Chic Decor Images & Photos

Here are a few of my favourite photos and images of decor from Coastal Living Magazine

It's easy to see why white is the designer's choice of colour for interior walls and furniture.

This day bed and the use of teals and blues against natural wood....

Chipped garden bench in the kichen. Fab!!

Scanning through a few things at French Garden House this morning and I came across this eye catching doll by Lilli Baitz in the boudoir section.

Antique dolls are really popular with many people contcting me recently about this blog. Pop over to French Garden House and take a look!

Heaton Perk Newcastle

Heaton has been my home for the last eight or nine years. Couple of moons ago a new little place opened up where my favourite bookshop used to be and blended a mix of worn and faded, eclectic and retro items with tea, coffee and cakes.

If you are ever in our city of Newcastle and you visit Heaton pay some respect to this little place - Heaton Perk Cafe.

Shabby Chic Storage & Spring Cleaning

We are well into 2010 and I suddenly have a huge backlog of "things" in my house, from unwanted to unstorable!

My biggest hard-to-store items are books. I may invest in one of these from French Furniture House - BOOKCASE

or at least go shopping for some kind of storage that can accomodate my archive of papers and notebooks!!
